Christian Family Movement
We are the Rodríguez Carrera Family
The Family Movement already has some history. It began at the end of the 1940s in Chicago within the American community, but it was toward the end of the 1970s when the Family Movement was officially established in Spanish.
The Family Movement is a group of Catholic families that primarily promotes Christian and human values within the family. In short, we are families who help one another. We, as those responsible for this beautiful ministry, have been serving for eight years, and everything began when we most needed help as a married couple—during those difficult moments, in those moments of marital crisis when you have nowhere to turn or don’t know what to do. We received the invitation of some friends, and that is how we began in the Family Movement. To this day we continue, and in a few words, it has been the most beautiful time we have lived as a married couple (and much more peacefully, haha).
We meet every 15 days in our homes, and we also participate as a group in all the activities our parish assigns us. Some of our members also serve at the 3 p.m. Mass, and our son—by the grace of God and as a fruit of this beautiful ministry—is a catechist in his first year. If anyone has questions or is curious about our ministry, please do not hesitate to contact us.
